Visible, the App-based Wireless Carrier That’s Making Waves

Unlimited phone and data on Verizon’s 4G LTE Network for only $40 per month (all in) sounds almost too good to be true. Fortunately for fed-up consumers, it’s not. Visible, the new app-based wireless carrier backed by Verizon, is offering an alternative to traditional phone service and it sounds like a service with Billshark (philosophy: no stores, no hidden fees, and no annual contracts.)

The all-digital alternative seeks to eliminate everything you hate about your mobile carrier, from pushy salespeople to hidden costs. Think of it as the Hulu or Spotify of the wireless industry: a subscription-based service that operates through the app or website and offers only one plan for a flat fee.

Visible offers “unlimited everything” which means data (up to 5 Mbps), messages and minutes. It runs on Verizon’s extensive network so coverage should not be an issue. The trade-off, of course, is slower data speeds. But according to reviews, video and music stream pretty well despite the cap on data speed.

According to Visible, you can either bring your phone or buy one from them. Currently, they offer most iPhones, and Galaxy S9 and S9+ with more options coming soon.

Billshark’s mission is to ensure that consumers never overpay for monthly services. We’re happy to know that some wireless carriers are starting to catch on. If you’re not ready to make the switch, or you have other high bills like internet, cable, or home security, send them to us and we’ll lower them for you.
