Customers Get What They Pay For With New Plans at AT&T
November 6, 2019
AT&T Unlimited Starter - $65/month for single line or $35/line for four lines.
At first glance, this plan seems like you can have it all for a great price: unlimited calls, texts and data. So what’s the catch? AT&T can throttle you whenever the network is too congested. Plus, customers who choose this plan only get SD-quality video and there is no AT&T WatchTV included. These trade-offs are not explained in the official AT&T announcement so unless customers are savvy enough to understand, they are likely to simply fall victim to slower service.
AT&T Unlimited Extra - $75/month for a single line or $40/line for four lines.
When you pay more, you get more. Customers who choose this new option get everything from the starter plan plus a 50GB pool of high-speed data before they can be throttled and 15GB of mobile hotspot data per line. Customers are still limited to SD video and there’s no AT&T WatchTV or free HBO included.
AT&T Unlimited Elite - $85/month for a single line or $50/line for four lines.
AT&T calls this very pricey plan (coming soon!) “the wireless plan of the future.” In coming weeks weeks, AT&T promises a plan that includes 30GB of mobile hotspot data per line and a 100GB pool of high-speed data before AT&T slows you down. The new plan offers a free subscription to HBO and will have access to the new HBO Max streaming service when it launches in 2020.
